[GM]: A few seconds ago, Thomas noticed something odd in the western wall and walked over to investigate

[GM]: Anval and Jackdaw have been gone just a couple of minutes, taking the Old Santum Ral .. and heading towards the Wall of Skulls
[GM]: Thomas discovered what appeared to be fingertips sticking out of the wall and arroused the curiosity of Sir C and Jamison
[GM]: Dirk still sits with his head bowed trying to recovered from his wounds.
[GM]: Lendyll has taken interest in the North Eastern wall and some remnants of an old painting there.
[GM]: The 3 that investigated soon saw more of the fingers appear and finally a whole hand.
[GM]: The hand was wearing a ring with a blood red stone.
[GM]: Very shortly, the 1st half of a forearm appeared and through the wall stepped a woman
[GM]: She was dressed in a red robe and had red hair .... and was quite good-looking
[GM]: After emerging from the wall ... she vanished.
[GM]: Thomas again saw something strage ... a few seconds later.
[GM]: A semi-transparent ring moving towards the East
[GM]: He has begun to cast Manipulate ... just before the woman disappeared .. and still had that spell fresh in his mind.
[GM]: As soon as the ring moved to exit the room, he cast the spell to snatch the ring.
[GM]: He then yelled, "I cant keep this up for long .... grab it!"
[GM]: Thomas was feeling resistance to his attempted
[GM]: 'snatch'
[GM]: Sir C and Jamison .. moved toward the ring .. after Thomas indicated the direction.
[GM]: But upon reaching the raised platform ... stopped.
[GM]: There ... to the left of the ring .. was a ball of fire ....
[GM]: A perfect sphere of flame
[GM]: As they looked on, the sphere grew larger and Sir C reached for his shield, which happened to be close enough to get.
[GM]: By the time that he had it readied, the shpere of flame once again increased in size
[GM]: A second later ... it flew towards them and they attempted to jump out of the way
[GM]: Sir C made his dodge roll .... Jamison didn't
[GM]: The ball of fire flew past them to it's intended target ... Thomas
[GM]: Thomas reflexidly cast Blink to get out of its way

(Anval whispered to GM): I think that a successfull dodge would move the person 1 hex away from the fire, possible reducing damage by 1d, or even to 0 if they are on the outskirts...
