[GM]: Quick Recap. The 6 assassins landed on the main floor (jumping from the balcony) three dressed in black (N), three dressed in red (S). The first round of combat saw Thomas' winged knife stab into the assassin on the NW (#3). Thor's attack parried by Assassin #1, and Sir C's attack parried by Assassin #5.
[GM]: Jamison also did an All-Out Attack on the Baron from behind 'conking' him into unconsciouness. Jackdaw was casting a spell. Thomas drew his dagger, and Lendyll drew his shortsword after a quick move to the center of the room.
[GM]: BEGIN SESSION 20. It is 6:30 am on the First Wednesday of Drakurah, Late Spring.
[Anne]: Anne cast a 3pt haste spell raising her move to 5... and then moved to engage the assisins

[Anne]: (she did that last session)
[GM]: Yes, Anne also cast a 3 pt haste raising her move to 5.

[GM]: Lendyll, your action?
(Lendyll whispered to GM): k... which hand r the barons rings on?
(Lendyll whispered to GM): closest to me or furthest away from me?
(Lendyll whispered to GM): u there?
(GM whispered to Lendyll): His ring of nobility is worn on his right hand. The black stoned ring is worn on his left. Both hands are equa-distant from you at the western part of the hex.
[Thomas]:
[GM]: By the way, the Baron fell forward and to the West. He is now face down laying across two hexes.
(Lendyll whispered to GM): k... fly one hex to hit the left hand to cut the ring off of that paticular finger.........what kind of minuses?
[GM]: (whispering)
(GM whispered to Lendyll): Swinging attack?
(Lendyll whispered to GM): if it's possible with a swing yes.. if not then imp....
(GM whispered to Lendyll): You are at -6 to chop of a particular finger in one swing.
(GM whispered to Lendyll): And you would have to do an impaling attack.
(Lendyll whispered to GM): so imp. or swing?
[GM]: What's it gonna be Lendyll?
(Lendyll whispered to GM): k. so all out to hit the finger with the plus 4 so i'm at -2 correct? which would mean 11 or less
(To GM) DICE for Lendyll: (3d6) : 3d6=3,5,4 = [ 12 ]
(Lendyll whispered to GM): so i hit his hand and not the finger?
[GM]: Lendyll stabs his broadsword at the Baron's hand hitting the hand.
(GM whispered to Lendyll): You miss the finger you were aiming at. Roll damage.
[GM]: Roll Damage
(Lendyll whispered to GM): 1d-1?

[Lendyll]: damn it.s
[GM]: hehehe
[Lendyll]: i can't give him points i know...
[Thomas]: [It will not roll without a 6 in there...Hehehe, see you healed him up some ^_^]
Thomas sprints across the ballroom floor, thinking of the absurdity of the sitaution and why the hell has he not 'ported the safety. He smiles as runs, knowing full well that he will not run away...a deal is a deal and the ring is not on the Prince's finger yet. Sweat beading on his forehead and his heart pounding he bolts over to assist the warrior Thor and fairie-kin JD, his blade drawn and ready.
[GM]: Move your mini
[Thomas]: [Done]
[GM]: What weapon are you using Thomas?

[Jackdaw]: Back in a little while
[GM]: Assassin4's katana cut's into Sir L's chest doing 4 points of damage. Sir L begins to realize that fighting 6 assassins without any armor is not a good idea.

Thomas staggers back a bit, one hand covering his face as the waves of heat and force expand from the impact sight. Looking out under a protective arm, his eyes watering in the heat and spoke
[GM]: Question: How do you determine the damage in the outlying hexes? The center is 3d6 .. the 1st away is 2d6, then 1d6 .... do I need rolls for each of these?
[Lendyll]: *shrugs*
[Thomas]: [Sorry, Ignore that]
[Anne]: ooc - roll 3d6... ist # is die 1, 2nd # is die 2 etc....
[GM]: 3 rolls then?

[GM]: Ahhh... good idea
[Anne]: ooc - use 1st 3, then 1st 2, then 1st 1
[Lendyll]: k.. gm what do u want me to do?
[GM]: The assassins are looking at 4 points of damage then.
[Lendyll]: ooc: j/k... I vote to reroll damage
[GM]: Each
[Lendyll]: and a st or dx roll to remain standing right?
[GM]: Jamison is looking at 1 pt of damage each
[GM]: ....and Thor

[Lendyll]: he could dodge right?
[GM]: No dodge
[GM]: It was from behind
[Lendyll]: sorry guys... *smiling* the next one will be better i promice
[GM]: But their armor protected them from the 1 point
[GM]: But also, the assassin's armor protected them from 2 points of damage, so they each take 2
[GM]: Thomas, your action?
Thomas staggers back a bit, one hand covering his face as the waves of heat and force expand from the impact sight. Looking out under a protective arm, his eyes watering in the heat and smoke but still they search for a target, ready to take advantage of the distraction and bring down on of these men before they can recover.

(Lendyll whispered to GM): 2
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): looking over the area descriptions and the spell it might be a "flash" area, those in it when cast roll, the duration might refer just to how long they Panic for. That would actually seem more reasonable than having a lasting Panic area, esp since there are spells that have that effect
(Lendyll whispered to GM): is that one free?
(GM whispered to Lendyll): That was not a crit
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): in which case both Thor and the Assassin are safe, maybe a momentary chill
(GM whispered to Lendyll): But the first round ... yeah it's free since you have it at 15

[Anne]: here he is!
[Rubix]: sorry guys
[Jamison]: Having fun, Rub?
[GM]: ...
[Lendyll]: np
[GM]: You bet
[GM]: A4 falls to the ground ... knocked over by the blow from above.
[Jackdaw]: glad you're not hosting tho, else we'd all be rejoining
[GM]: Thor takes a step backwards on All Out Defense
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): that might also be a "slam" attack
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): That's kinda the way I treated it ... do you see anything that you would have done differently?
[GM]: Anval, your action?
[Anne]: Anne casts Major Healing on herself (skill 13)
[GM]: How many points?
[Anne]: for full 4 fatigue
DICE for Anne: (3d6) : 3d6=2,4,4 = [ 10 ]
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): not sure, incidental damage? possibly, physical or mental stun, also possible, probably even more likely
[Anne]: Yay! Anne heals 8HT!
[Anne]: Fully healed!
[GM]: I believe that will completely heal you?
[GM]: Yep
[Jamison]: Yes...
[Jamison]: exellant
(Lendyll whispered to GM):
[GM]: Sir C following the code of a Knight does not attack the fallen Assassin but waits.
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): last night the fM was stunned and laying on the deck but no one went into the fog to look for him so he had time to recover and boggie out
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): And stold out lantern....
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): well, yes
[GM]: End of round 3 (or was that 4?)
[Anne]: 4
[GM]: End of round 4
[GM]: Should we try another one? ... or call it a night?
[Anne]: I'm good for one more, if all of you are.
[Jackdaw]: either way by me
[GM]: Let's see Jamison is not really in it.
[GM]: Thomas, Lendyll?
[Jamison]: I'll watch
[Jamison]: fair is fair
[GM]: You can pray to Contesta for all of us.
[GM]: LoL
[Thomas]: [I have to go soon..I am beat.]
[Anne]: ooc - in that case, we probably better quit...
[GM]: Lendyll?
[Jackdaw]: ooc hmmm, webrpg was bought, bad character dice... coincidence? I think not!
[Jamison]: Praying to Conteasta may have shaded the dice against me, Rub....
[Anne]: Heresy will get you every time!
[GM]: True ... it might have brough on Ral's displeasure ... you did it with a priestess in the room.
[GM]: ;-}
[Jamison]: But.. the adventure continues... proceed
[GM]: Thomas, I will let you take the first action .. if you like .. then you can leave us.
[GM]: Does that sound fair?
[Thomas]: [Sure, sounds good]
[GM]: Round 5
[GM]: Thomas, your action?
[Thomas]: [What is assissian 2 doing?]
[GM]: Assassin 2 just took Jamison down and is still watching him ..
(Thomas whispered to GM): And what is 3 doing?

[GM]: The dagger from A3 right?
[ jgainz joined the game ]
[Thomas]: [Question? Can I port into my hand...The right way ^_^]
[jgainz]: just want to watch
[GM]: Okay, you were at -5 because the dagger was being held .. and at -1 for another reasons. So, you made your roll by 6. The book says that he gets a resistence roll, though.
[jgainz]: okay.. lurker
[GM]: Yes, lurker ... that's
[Thomas]: [Okay]
[ jgainz left the game ]
[GM]: My question is does the amount that you made your roll by modify his resistence roll?
[Jackdaw]: yes
[Anne]: yes
(Jamison whispered to GM): Sorry, tried to tell him how to watch....
[GM]: So, he is at -6 on his roll
[Jackdaw]: it always does til you pass skill 16 then the rule of 16 comes into effect
[GM]: But the roll is at IQ+1 ... so that is -5
[GM]: Here is his roll .. he needs a 7
DICE for GM: (3d6) : 3d6=1,6,2 = [ 9 ]
[GM]: Dispite his attemps to hold the dagger .. Thomas jerks it away and it slides across the room in front of Thomas' feet. (One hex north)

(GM whispered to Jackdaw): okay

[GM]: ((Lendyll's rolls have been better than mine))
(GM whispered to Lendyll): You don't know....
(Lendyll whispered to GM): k
[Jamison]: OOC: Now I find that hard to believe at this point.....
(GM whispered to Lendyll): Actually all of them have been at -5 .. and the first one shouldn't have been a crit... but that's history.
(Lendyll whispered to GM): so then i have to roll a 5 to crit?
(GM whispered to Lendyll): Yep
(GM whispered to Lendyll): Want to change your action?
[Jamison]: ???
[GM]: Lendyll?
(Lendyll whispered to GM): k screw that action then.. the 1d explosion is going for the barons fingers.. just to hit them all hoping to luck out. i'll take a step back to get out of it though
(Lendyll whispered to GM): will that work?
(GM whispered to Lendyll): Throwing roll
(GM whispered to Lendyll): Try it

[Anne]: ok
[GM]: If you have already moved .... can you use retreating to add to your defense?
[GM]: I believe that you can ... but someone questioned that.
[Jamison]: Depends on the direction of your move...
[Jackdaw]: I guess I'm wrong
[Jackdaw]: it just says it's part of an active def
[Anne]: sure - you can only do one retreat per turn, as long as you didn't all out attack
