[GM]: Setting: As the sun begins to set on the 6th day of Methorah, the party stops to make camp and encounters the man who has been following them for the past two days. He has been described as a Priest, fanatic ... but who really is Drei'Partha. He enters camp and tells Valek that he has seen it in the Runes that he is supposed to travel with them. Also, mysteriously ... Lydia and Peshida are not to be coming along. It is well after dark, dinner already served and the first watch is on. BEGIN SESSION #64b
[GM]: Silverna creeps high into the sky and is almost full. The blue crescent of Largo just begins to sit in the East. It is roughly 10pm as first watch begins.
[GM]: Drei sit on the edge of camp chanting words that sound familiar to Anne. They are Old Haddin and a verse from one of the books of Ral.
Valek takes first watch, since he was planning on studying anyway.
[GM]: Drei's horse seems to have left camp just after sunset. It is no where in sight. note: it had no saddle or reigns.
[GM]: ((Does anyone besides Valek wish to do anything this night?))
Jamison desides to get some sleep and tells Valek that he will take second watch
(Valek whispered to GM): outside of nursing the series of puncture he put in himself unsucessfully attempting to alter the flow of energy in his body- he would like to attempt to apply his knoledge of the Frement spell and make some wine.
[Valek]: "Very well- I'll awaken you when I grow tired."
Jackdaw sets his "song of protection" for the night
[GM]: Drei's horse returns to camp sometime during Jamison's watch. Drei turns in about that time after another two hours of silent mediation.

[GM]: The terrain that has been rolling green hills with very few signs of bushes or trees, now seems to show a little of the greenery of the bushes near the river.

Valek looks up from his scroll "I do, but I'll need exact directions."

(GM whispered to Valek): Entrance to your world is about 150 miles East of here in the mountains
[Valek]: "It's unfortunate but the directions need be VERY exact- the last letter I wrote to my sister may still have not yet arrived for that reason."

[GM]: Drei says the above offhandedly as he rides his horse bare-backed.

[GM]: The bridge appears very old, but is sturdy enough to support a team of heavy wagons

[GM]: Drei looks suprised that Valek did not condem him for what he just said, "Ah, she wishes to write you back"
[Anne]: "I've been studying the weather since I was a little girl, Jamison... I've sort of developed a minor talent at guessing what it does next."
[GM]: Note: Drei still has a very heavy accent, but for game purposes I am dropping it for now. I think you all got what it sounds like.
[Anne]: Anne hurries her horse to match Jamison's...
[GM]: Drei rides without the face-covering that he wore when he first met you. You can begin to make out some features that you might not have made out before.
[Jamison]: That sounds fascinating, Anne. and very helpful, too...

[Anne]: "I hope so... all my signals are going to be off though - I've never tried to auger the weather in a swampland before... It's probably a lot different."

(Valek whispered to GM): in reality Valek is far more suprised that Drei hasen't branded hism a necromancer and tried to kill him.- since his lettercarrier is a zombified <possibly skelified now> bat.
(Jamison whispered to GM): With the 6 month study period... I believe he has turn 17, and heading for 18
[GM]: Drei "Sir Valek, you sister worries about you ... that's all I can say"
(GM whispered to Jamison): Drei appears younger than you.
[Jamison]: Drei.... you appear to be awful young to be out in the world by yourself
Jackdaw looks around, especially ahead
[GM]: The bridge grows smaller behind and more bushes appear along the side of the Old Mage's Web. In the distance the mountains of Fendor rise and now are more than just a fare off vision.
[GM]: Drei "I am the proper age to take my pilgramidge .... in the tradition of Ral" he looks at Anne when he says this
(Valek whispered to GM): If valek were to take the party to his home, could he convince one of the trasport mages to teleport them to pershing <at least in his mind.>
[GM]: Phinny sighs, "That be a wonderful sight." a tear comes to her eye
(Anne whispered to GM): What do I know of Pilgrimage? Do Humans practice this in Methor?
(Atulicus whispered to GM): So am i allowed to join or not?
(Atulicus whispered to GM): i gusse i should send you my character sheet right??
[Jamison]: And where will this pilgramage take you?
[Anne]: "Aye, it is a pretty sight Phinnea...."
(GM whispered to Valek): If people in your country do not do things for gold. What would they do it for?
[Anne]: (Anne turns to answer Drei Partha)

(GM whispered to Anne): Pilgramidges are taken to the Holy Cathedral in The Royal City

(Valek whispered to GM): war often brings more people to the doors of the city attempting entry - though not usualy a threat it requires more effort to keep putting up barriers then it dose to help some hero's stop it from beginning.
[Anne]: "And what was Ral's Path? Is that how you come to be travelling with us, for the moment?"
[Anne]: (anne is curious, not confrontational)
(Valek whispered to GM): also his people inherityly have difficulty understanding clerics- the oportunity to talk to one may impress some of the mages who are yet still Valek's senior.
[GM]: Drei nods, "I am on pilgramidge. Do you not know that Ral traveled to Mt. Elic on pilgramidge when he was blessed with knowledge from the Ulmartha?"
(Anne whispered to GM): Uh - do I know this?
(GM whispered to Anne): Yes, you would know this. This is how Ral won the right of the Humans to the afterlife.

[Anne]: "Yes... Of course... But you mentioned that you were to travel with us. Will our paths part soon?"
[GM]: Drei continues, "Nay, tis the same direction ... for now. Beyond Findoor and the Marshlands ... to the gate of Elic!"
[Anne]: "Perhaps, when this duty in Pershing is done, I will travel there myself...?" (Anne muses partly to herself)
[GM]: As you travel, the mountians to your north grow larger and larger.
(Valek whispered to GM): I guess he dosen't think they'd go for it then?

(GM whispered to Valek): I would say that he is not sure. It might work, if he could think of some way to convince them that it would benefit his people.

Valek speaks up looking above her scroll "I have an idea, if you'd care to listen."
(Atulicus whispered to GM): so am i alloed to become part of this campaing rubix? i have a great idea for how we can introduce my character sinec your going to a new town and all

[Valek]: "We are not far from my homeland, is is a slight distance to the east, about the same as the distance to prrshing- if we travel there I should be able to convince one of the elder sages there to teleport us directly to the city."

Valek knods his head "Though I am most certain that they will, I cannot guarntee it 100%."

[Valek]: "As I have said before, my people put no value in possessions, only knoledge, and the good of the people- If I can impress upon them that our mission is for the good of the people, or if I can guarntee that knoledge will be revealed by my mission then they will be glad to help."

[GM]: You leave the Old Mage's Web at about 4 pm and begin to head East, following the Fendor mountains as they taper off Eastward.
Valek studies his scroll with renewed frevor as the party moves along.
[GM]: The travelling is not as smooth as it has been on the road, but the grassy plains do seem to be a little more flat hear in the north.
(Atulicus whispered to GM): so you gonna tell them to role against surpise? so my characater fail at his stealth role and be seen attempting to steal a bag with his str of 8?
[Anne]: "This is pleasant travelling Valek... Do you travel aboveground very often?"
Jamison takes care to watch the land as the party passes....
[Valek]: "I have gone on trade missions before, I'm usually teleported to my destination, but since I have not yet learned the spells must return by my own feet."
[GM]: There has been no sign of fellow travellers today, and no sign of the Elvenoid (my new word) races, but occasionally you catch sight of something moving high up on the mountain.

Valek is slowly hobbeling away from the camp with his staff, seeming to be in a hurry, but unable to move faster.
[GM]: As Valek walk away from camp, and Jackdaw vanishes into the shadows and the hair on Jamison's neck begins to stand on its end. We shall END SESSION and continue this next week.
