None are really sure (yet) why they attacked or what provoked them, but surely it has something to do with that scroll and the chest full of gold? The battle ensues.... BEGIN SESSION #67
[GM]: RECAP: The party has only taken minor wounds except for Phinny. Jamison took the 2 point hit to the head which knocked him out 'except for the grace of Ral'; Peshida and Anne both have taken two wounds, both small- Peshida a 1- and then a 2-pointer, Anne two 1-pointers; Phinny, on the other hand took an 8-point wound to the torso early on. Seven of the 16 goblins have fallen, leaving 4 engaged in Melee, the 4 archers, and the leader.

Jackdaw grabed him bedroll and pack
(GM whispered to Anval): There is something .... you were dreaming of .. but you cant think of it now.
[GM]: Rocks tumble down the cliffs in the SW
[Jackdaw]: "hmmm that the way the gobblin runned off into"
[Anval]: "Lets get our collective butts out of this Canyon!"

(GM whispered to Tass): The ship crashed on top of the mountain. People are running around. The crew is frantic. You see no wounded or injuries.

[Anval]: "How long was I out? An hour? More? We need to move an hour ago!"

[Anval]: Anne rushes to her horse, and mounts - Urging the others to get moving all the while.
Jackdaw runs to the horse he has been using and leads it away
(GM whispered to Tass): You move about the ship, but see no injured. A Human asks you "Return to your seat ... all will be taken care of" but he runs on some errand and pays you no more mind.
[GM]: The falling rocks subside before you can get mounted.
[Valek]: "I thought as much- it was mearly to trap us here."

(Tass whispered to GM): keep going ignoring the mans head trying to make it on deck and see what has happened and where we are
[Anval]: "If they have magicians that can call down meteors to crush mountains, then why did they allow us to kill their Troops?"

Valek keeps looking
(GM whispered to Tass): It is as if the ship is stuck on top of the mountain. You can see the mountain top not too far below.
Anval exhorts the others to pack up their gear quickly
[Valek]: "It was not a meteror, those light up the sky- it was something else, something big."
(Tass whispered to GM): look for any damage to the ship
[GM]: Dust prevents Valek from seeing much, but soon the dust clears.

Valek gives another look once the dust settel down

(GM whispered to Valek): A large cigar-shapped thingy that is lodged into the top of the mountain. The color is hard to see, but must be a silverish, metalic color

[GM]: Peshida points "It has lodged itself in the top of the mountain"
[GM]: (Of course, no one but the night-sighted ones can see it.)
[Anval]: "What? A worm made of metal? This is very odd. But for the rest of us to see it, we will have to wait until dawn... "

(GM whispered to Tass): As you go about the ship, you see no signs of damage, but the crew seems to be totally frustrated as to what happened.

[Anval]: "...and if the goblins choose to return, we will be trapped here."

Valek scurries up the mountain with some intent, very interested in whatever magic is involved with it.
Jackdaw follows Valek
(GM whispered to Tass): The man scracthes his head. "That would explain things. You are a mage then? Hmm... I know of no way to make this ship fly without magic."
[Anval]: Anne follows behind JD and Valek, waiting a moment for Thor and Sir Jamison
(Tass whispered to GM): "do you have any powerstones or such that could help i may be able to help if i had a mana supply"
[GM]: Valek finds that trying to pass the way of the avalanche is impossible.
[GM]: He does find a possible way up in the north of the canyon.
[GM]: But it will require 3 climbing rolls
Valek walks back to the goblin and speaks with him
(Valek whispered to GM): "I am sorry about what happened to your clansmates- it was all a misunderstanding that ended badly because neither side would listen to reason."
(GM whispered to Tass): The man "There are powerstones in the engine room - those that power the ship. Maybe you should have a look at them?"
[GM]: The Goblin looks at Valek and speaks in his tounge
(Tass whispered to GM): "I would be glad to do anything I can to help sir, please proceed i will follow"
Anval fumes.... 
(GM whispered to Valek): Why would one of your race steal our treasure?
(Valek whispered to GM): "The treasure is as it has allwase been- yours; and when magic returns to this area I shall fufill my half of our peoples ancient treety and raise your fallen comrads."

(Valek whispered to GM): "When we awoke this morning, the tresure was here- I belive it was placed here to goad us into fighting."

(Valek whispered to GM): "I am at loath to make an acuzation, but I belive the culprit to be Shaleoffic, a mage of some respute among yours I belive?"
(Anval whispered to GM): Anne stops fuming and tries to recall her vision....
(Tass whispered to GM): :walks over to the officer "they are all drained, do you not have a mage aboard who will monitor where you are to check for mana for you?"
(GM whispered to Tass): ((you finally determine that it will take a great feat of engineering to remove the airship from the side of the mountain. You find a rope ladder that you can use to climb down. They will eventually have to evacuate the ship.))

(Valek whispered to GM): "Regardless- the tresure is yours and I'm sure we both wish to avoid further bloodshed, track down your outher clansmates and have them comve to help you move it- explain the situation to them."
(GM whispered to Tass): You will be one of the first that take the ladder down. The crew will not leave the ship for many hours
(GM whispered to Valek): Very well ... I shall go get them, and tell them of this betrayal. (he points) the gold is ours then? Your party will not object?
(Anval whispered to GM): An arch-priestess? Wholly undeserved!
(Tass whispered to GM): (i have to go i hate my mother she has to have it her way this is my computer yet she demands that she gets her time on it but she does pay the electric bill) takes a seat along the side of the ship and waits

Valek speaks to the party "My friend will go and tell his clansmates this was all a misunderstanding, they will come back to carry the chest of gold and gems away, but will not bring us any harm."

Anval seems distracted
Jackdaw tries to find his way up, taking it as slow as necessary
(Anval whispered to GM): Does Anne recognise the man?
(GM whispered to Anval): He draws a katana (which you will think of later as OOC for such an evil priest) and as you stand there watching in terror, slays the Lord Patrona. The crowd fades away and you are there alone with the Patriarch of the Church. He says in his dying breath. "Sister Anne ... help preserve the Church of Ral" ... END OF VISION
(GM whispered to Anval): You can not put a name to the face, but you feel as if you know him ... you have fought beside him in battle.

[GM]: Jackdaw has disappeared up the slopes of the northern cliffside of the canyon. Anne speaks of a terrible vision. Valek finishes speaking to the Goblin and he gets up and begins walking out of camp. It is just about 6am in the morning of the 7th day of Methorah and less than an hour before dawn as we END SESSION>
