[GM]: BEGIN SESSION
(Anval whispered to GM): done
[GM]: The party stands in front of a large stone monolith that partly blocks the passageway.
(GM whispered to Anval): thanks
[GM]: Lendyll has just been "burned by it" as he touched it.
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): wasn't it before the corridore branched?
[GM]: CHECKING: you should see nothing on the map but the minis and the red dot ... correct?
[GM]: Behind you the 100yds of stairs that let you down to this point.
[GM]: Ahead of you, the passageway continues as far as you know.
[GM]: The walls are smooth stone with spots of green fungus here and there.
(Anval whispered to GM): I see skeletons and a book
[Jamison]: Dirk, What does the map of the catacomb's show you?
[GM]: Every sound that you make echos.
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): are the side passages where they are relative to our minis?
[GM]: Dirk is studying the map of the cats.
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): Can you see the map?
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): yes
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): no anymore
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): but the lines just blanked out
DICE for Lance: [Thomas Wintersun / Dice] : (3d6) : 3d6=6,1,5 = [ 12 ]
[Jamison]: Llendyl, can you see around the stone?
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): Has already looked around the stone and see an intersection 50yds ahead.
(GM whispered to Ghostmoon): Didn't Thomas already look around the stone?
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): thanks
[GM]: Lendyll is hugging himself .. still a little shaken by the experience.
[GM]: The stone blocks the 2yd wide passageway leaving 1ft on either side.
[Jamison]: Are you alright Len?
[GM]: Dirk: map says nothing about any stone.
[GM]: Lendyll: I am fine.
[Jamison]: Is the stone old, and strong magic?
[GM]: Lendyll: I don't know how old ... but as I said .. it's like it is a powerstone or something.
[ Lance left the game ]
Jackdaw playes and approaches the stone
[GM]: ***: What is everyone doing?
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): to sense the magic
[Jamison]: And no one can reread the writing...

[GM]: Lendyll to Anval: Didn't you say that it had a date?
[Anval]: Yes - 257 Pendular
[Anval]: It is many hundred of years old
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): You feel strong magic permeating the stone.
(GM whispered to Anval): Current year is 1132p
[GM]: Dirk: Well ... we should continue on .....
[Jamison]: Could this serve as a guarian to the catacombs?
[Anval]: It is now 1132 pendular, so that would make it almost 875 years old...
[GM]: Dirk begins to put the map back in it's holder.
[Jamison]: Maybe we need to know the word for enter?
(Anval whispered to GM): Can I get a default roll to say Veridan Augmena in old common dialect? You know, like speaking olde english?
(GM whispered to Anval): Any language ablitites?
[Anval]: just Theology
[GM]: Sir C moves close to the stone and looks around it.
[GM]: Sir C: Seems passable to me.
[GM]: Sir C: A little tight ... but passable.
[Jamison]: And no sign of the stone ever being moved?... no scratch marks on the floor?
[Anval]: Then lets just squeeze through and get going!
(GM whispered to Anval): You could try to pronounce the name .... or read the writing ....
(GM whispered to Anval): Up to you.
(Anval whispered to GM): Anne tries both...
(Anval whispered to GM): speak the words: roll

(Anval whispered to GM): yep
Jackdaw squeezes past the stone
(GM whispered to Anval): You can form the writing into words ... but it makes no sense to you.
[GM]: Anval is reading the words aloud.
[Anval]: Anne tries saying the words "Veridon Augmena" in bad old Haddin - in fact, its probably nothing like the langauge - but she's trying...
[Jackdaw]: and looks at the back side
[ Ghostmoon left the game ]
[GM]: The words that Anval says echoes in the hallway .... but nothing seems to happen.
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): You are on the other side.
[Anval]: VERidon AugMENa? verIdon AUGmenA?
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): Didn't you move the glowstone ahead 50yds?
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): what's the back like?
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): The same
[Anval]: VeeriDOON AugmenA?
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): No writing.
[Anval]: I dunno... it was just a try everyone...
[Jamison]: Weel, if we can get around it... let's give it a shot...
[GM]: Dirk squeezes around the stone on the other side.
[Anval]: No one really knows how to speak Old Haddin anymore... Its a shame, really.
[GM]: Sir C has a little problem.
[ Ghostmoon joined the game ]
[GM]: Sir C seems to be stuck.
[GM]: Sir C: Can someone give me a push?
Jackdaw pulls on Sir C
[Anval]: Ann gives Sir C a push
[GM]: Sir C makes it through.
[Anval]: Anne tries to make it through
[GM]: Lendyll flies around the stone on the other side.
[Jamison]: Go ahead, Anne
[GM]: Anne has no problem.
[Jamison]: Thomas...
(Thomas whispered to GM): Sorry, Having problems here..
(GM whispered to Thomas): thomas???
(GM whispered to Thomas): okay
Thomas attempts to squeeze by...
[GM]: Thomas makes it by the stone fine.
[Jamison]: Jamison follows...
[GM]: The passageway continues on .. the same ... but there is a glowstone hovering in the air 50yds ahead... showing an intersection.
[Anval]: Well Dirk? Which way should we go?
[GM]: Dirk moves slowly towards the glowstone.
[GM]: Dirk: Lets have a look at that intersection.
[GM]: Everyone follows?
[Anval]: I do
[GM]: Marching order?
[Anval]: Lets get Sir C near the front again
[GM]: ***: please get in single file on the map .. the way you want to be.
[Jamison]: How is, SC, Dirk, Anne, JD, Thomas, Jamison.. and lendyll whereever is best....
[Anval]: Fine by me
Thomas nods
[Anval]: Sir C should take the lead
[Jamison]: looks good
[GM]: Sir C move to the intersect and reaches the hovering glowstone.
[GM]: It hovers there at the intersection.
[GM]: All passageways appear the same as before.
[GM]: Dirk takes out the map and looks at it.
[Jamison]: does the map show these crossroads, Dirk?
[GM]: ***The map is now valid except that the stone should be in the middle of the intersections.
[GM]: Dirk: yes ... I believe we are here.
[GM]: Dirk points .. not really for anyones benefit but his own.
[Anval]: Which way, Dirk?
[GM]: Dirk: Let's see there should be another intersection just ahead.
[GM]: There is no noise except the echoes of the noise that the party is making.
[GM]: Dirk: Straight ahead.
[Anval]: Let's go then?
Jamison checks behind the party... and listens carefully
[GM]: Sir C: follow me
(GM whispered to Jamison): Don't see anything.
(GM whispered to Jamison): Or hear anything.
[Anval]: Anne follows
[Jamison]: Let's continue on...
[GM]: Dirk follows Sir C
[GM]: Sir C cautiosly advances.
Thomas follows, his eyes look to the right and left.
[Anval]: Anne waits for Dirk to advance
Jamison looks down both hallways as he passes, and listens carefully

[GM]: Lendyll: very .. very faint .....
[Jamison]: From what direction?
[Anval]: Probably just dripping water...
[GM]: Lendyll: Perhaps that is it.
[GM]: Lendyll smile.
[GM]: Lendyll: I can not tell which direction, Jamison.
(GM whispered to Jackdaw): You think you hear it too ... but it is very faint.
[Jamison]: Let's move on cautiously...
[Anval]: Thomas, jamison... Are you two coming? We don't want to get split up! (Anne says this in a stage whisper)
[Jamison]: ooops
[GM]: Sir C reaches the next intersection and you hear him gasp.

[Jackdaw]: Ok, they can't seem to tell me
Thomas appraises the situation..."Hmm..."
[GM]: Dirk looks around while looking at the map closely ..... it is just as the map says.
[Anval]: Anne tries to get a better look at the book... Does it look like a Holy Text?
Jamison looks at the skulls, curiously....

(GM whispered to Anval): It is a very old Sanctum Ral .... You have seen one exactly like this preserved in the Great Church where the Lord Patrona resides.
Jamison moves into the room
Thomas smiles "Alright."
(Anval whispered to GM): So is this a great treasure to retrieve for the faithful, or a sacrosanct item to be left safe in the tomb?

[GM]: There are no skulls on these walls.
(Jackdaw whispered to GM): how high is the ceiling in the room
Jamison mooves to the enterance at the top and listens....
[Anval]: Although I believe this book would be of value, I think it was set here as a blessing for the lost souls wandering these catacombs... I think we should leave it alone...
[Anval]: Jackdaw!? What was that about skulls?
[GM]: The ceiling which has been a 8ft in the passageways now rises to 12ft in this room
[Jackdaw]: "What can I do tO HEL
[Jackdaw]: ?""They keep asking me to "Help Me" "
[Anval]: How did you speak to them?
[Thomas]: "Hmm...I sure no harm can come from reading the open page without disturbing it...Unless you reconize the book..."
[GM]: Sir C appears to be examining a pile of rubbish on the floor.
[Jackdaw]: "What can I do to help them?

[Anval]: Anne goes back to the skull wall... "If you must read from the book, please wait for my return!
Jamison notices SC's examination....." What do you have there SC?"

Jamison moves towards SC...

Jamison stops on the other side of the bones from SC...
Thomas nods "That I can do..."
